Weekly poll: is the Tecno Phantom V Flip the foldable you've been looking for?

Earlier this year Tecno’s premium sub-brand released its first foldable phone, the Phantom V Fold. Now the company has unveiled its first flip foldable too, the Phantom V Flip. While it targets the premium market, Phantom still offers attractive pricing – the V Fold was the most affordable entry into its segment and so is the V Flip. Can the brand democratize flip foldables too? Let’s first have a look at the specs. The phone measures 88.77 x 74.05 x 14.95mm when folded and 171.72 x 74.05 x 6.95mm unfolded. The hinge can hold the display and cameras at any angle in the 30-150°...

Android 14 might see lock screen widgets return, shortcuts are now customizable

Remember when Android had widgets on the lock screen? Well, Android 14 might see the return of such widgets as Mishaal Rahman on X unearthed an intriguing reference in the latest Android 14 beta build. A new SystemUI flag named "widget_on_keyguard" suggests Google is working on bringing back widgets on the lock screen. However, since this is spotted on the latest Android 14 beta build designated for Pixels, it might be a Pixel-exclusive feature after all. Last week’s poll leaves no secrets as to which of the new iPhone 15 models is the most popular – sure, it’s expensive, the periscope camera is an unknown and the older models are still competitive, but the iPhone 15 Pro Max is the one to have from this generation. And that longer lens on the tele camera addresses a long-standing shortcoming of Apple’s expensive flagship. And just as importantly, these are not things that you get...

However, Realme posted an image on X suggesting the return of the periscope camera on its smartphones. The picture posted by Realme shows a circular camera island having two circles and one rectangle. The two circles are possibly for the primary and ultrawide cameras, while the rectangle hints at the periscope telephoto camera. This light will shine on realme. Just wait......

Nothing Phone (2) vs. OnePlus 11

Introduction There was once a time not long ago when OnePlus was a small underdog trying to break through in the smartphone realm. It successfully disrupted the market with competitive products and grew from there. Well, not without the help of the BBK corporation, but nevertheless, it is an underdog success story. Nowadays, Carl Pei, one of the co-founders of OnePlus, is trying to repeat his success in the realm by developing the Nothing brand. After the relative success of the original Nothing Phone (1), the company is now pushing a second model onto markets - the Nothing Phone...
