Samsung's tri-fold phone won't come as soon as we hoped

It's the hope that kills you. Just yesterday, we heard a rumor suggesting Samsung is will announce its tri-fold smartphone during the summer Unpacked event alongside the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7. But a new report from today comes out to refute those claims. According to @MaxJmb on X, Samsung is indeed working on a tri-fold smartphone, but it won't arrive on time for the summer Unpacked event. Instead, Samsung is aiming to announce it later on. As of now, Huawei remains the only company offering such an exotic piece of tech called Mate XT Ultimate. So it's only natural to expect...

Google Pixel 9a leaks in hands-on video

Google's Pixel 9a just can't stop leaking ahead of its rumored unveiling next month. Today we have a short hands-on video showing off its lack of camera bump. We can see the phone in its Obsidian colorway here, which to us mere non-Google mortals is just black. The Pixel 9a's very tiny camera bump (tiny in thickness, we mean) is also clearly visible, signifying two things - this won't be the thinnest phone around by any stretch of the imagination, and it won't have top tier camera sensors which require much larger camera humps. The Pixel 9a is rumored to be unveiled on...

Both share the 4nm Dimensity 8350 SoC, and both feature a wide and autofocusing 21mm f/2.0 selfie shooter with a 50MP sensor. We'll talk about the differences in just a minute, but first let's do an unboxing. The Reno13 ships without a charger in the box, but you get an 8A USB cable, which you'll need to get the 80W charging speed. You'd need to supply your own 80W charger and a case too. Apple to integrate its in-house modem into its main chipsets, but it won't be soon

The launch of the new budget iPhone 16e marked the debut of the long-awaited in-house, custom C1 modem. According to Apple, this is the most power-efficient modem on the market, and a report claims that the company plans to develop its modem further and integrate it into its future chipsets. The current C1 modem has a few limitations. First, it's an external modem that's not built into the SoC, which means it starts on the back foot when it comes to power management, performance, control and production cost. That's why Apple is planning to integrate its modem in the future. Second, the...

Samsung Galaxy M06 and Galaxy M16 official teaser reveals new design

Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy M06 5G and Galaxy M16, and it has already set up a landing page on Amazon India. There is a single teaser image of the phones, revealing the M06 will have two cameras, while the M16 might have three, and they will sit on a dedicated island. Samsung ditched the camera island design from its Galaxy phones in mid-2022, the Korean maker moved to only the lenses protruding from the back panel. Yet the company is now seemingly ready to bring it back. The M06 is likely going to share much of its hardware with the Galaxy F06 5G, which arrived in...

Top 10 trending phones of week 8

Week 8 brought two things to our trending chart - the end of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra's reign that started at the beginning of the year and one of the most diverse trending charts in recent memory. It was the newly announced Apple iPhone 16e that immediately jumped to the top, while second place went to a phone that's not even going official for another 10 days. The Nothing Phone (3a) is clearly the most hotly anticipated debut at the MWC though. This meant the Galaxy S25 Ultra had to settle for third place. We do suspect it might still be able to fight back the new names once the...
