Nokia Lumia 735 spotted at the FCC on its way to Verizon

The Nokia Lumia 735 has been through the FCC's process, it's been revealed today. The device got certified recently and it's got Verizon's cellular frequencies on board, as well as support for Big Red's LTE. So it's pretty clear that this variation will be headed to Verizon at some point in the future. Just when exactly that will happen is anyone's guess, though. Normally, you might expect Microsoft and Verizon to push it through quickly so it doesn't lose out on the all-important holiday shopping season, but a report from last month said we'd only see the Lumia 735 on Verizon store shelves in 2015. Since this isn't a high-end handset, and can't boast about having some standout features (aside from the 5 MP front-facing camera), we're hoping it will be dirt cheap when it does land. Otherwise, it might not be the success Microsoft needs. The Lumia 735 runs Windows Phone 8.1, and comes with a 4.7-inch 720p touchscreen, a 6.7 MP rear camera, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card support, and a 2,200 mAh battery. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU. Source 1 • Source 2 |...
