Asus ROG Phone 6D specs revealed in leak

If you are not in the loop already, we are currently waiting on a new ROG Phone 6D Ultimate scheduled to arrive on September 19. By all accounts it will be joined by a vanilla version, which, in typical Asus fashion, we expect to be identical to the Ultimate, sans memory options. This was recently confirmed once again by a social network post from a reputable industry source. The post seems to be referring to the vanilla ROG Phone 6D or perhaps both phones interchangeably. It reaffirms that the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset will power both phones - a fact already teased by Asus....

On Friday, Samsung sent a notification via email to its users in the US (I personally received a notice as well). Following his now-classic "durability test" conducted a few days ago on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4, today YouTuber Zack from the JerryRigEverything channel is back with the traditional sequel, which is the teardown. It's all recorded on video for your viewing pleasure, and embedded below. Xiaomi 12T Pro and Redmi Pad renders leak

Xiaomi's upcoming 12T Pro has been rumored to sport a 200 MP main rear camera, and in mid-August an image purporting to show its camera island got leaked. Today another leaked image, this time showing a render of the Xiaomi 12T Pro alongside the Redmi Pad, confirms the design of the island and the presence of the 200 MP camera. This comes from one of Twitter's most prolific tipsters, and the juxtaposition between the 12T Pro and the also unannounced Redmi Pad is interesting, since the latter has to make do with an 8 MP camera on its back. The draft focuses on batteries and replacement parts. Manufacturers will be forced to provide at least 15 essential components for each device, five years after its release. Those parts include batteries, displays, chargers, back covers, memory...

Huawei confirms that the Mate 50 phones will feature cameras with variable aperture

Huawei has officially confirmed one of the most interesting rumors about the upcoming Mate 50 series before the September 6 announcement – the phones will feature a variable aperture on their cameras (presumably only the main camera). Huawei kept it vague, but according to rumors the phones will be able to dial in the aperture smoothly between f/1.4 and f/4. This will give users control over the depth of field (the bigger the f-number, the deeper the DoF), but...
