Samsung's Galaxy Ring is getting two new sizes next month, according to a new rumor from a tipster over on X. The smart wearable will finally be able to accommodate larger (thicker?) fingers come January, with size 14 and size 15 joining the others. The size 14 Galaxy Ring will have an inner diameter of 23mm, and has the model number SM-Q514. The size 15 ring has a 23.8mm inner diameter and the model number SM-Q515. Both devices weigh 3.2g. These new sizes have been first rumored to arrive within a few weeks all the way back in September, so it's certainly taken Samsung a long time...

Samsung Galaxy S26 series to mark a return to Exynos

Samsung hasn't even announced the Galaxy S25 family yet and here we are already talking about the Galaxy S26 series, due to be released most likely in January of 2026. Still, a new rumor from a tipster over on X claims that Samsung aims to "significantly" equip the S26 line with Exynos chips. This follows a rumored failure to do so for the S25 models due to yield issues for the Exynos 2500 that was supposed to power them in most markets. Thus, rumor has it the S25 line will go with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite if not everywhere, then almost everywhere, while the Exynos 2500, which finally...

This is Samsung's first Android XR headset

Hot on the heels of Google's announcement of Android XR, which, as the name implies, is an operating system for extended reality devices, Samsung has come out and revealed that it's been working with Google and Qualcomm to create the Android XR platform "for many years". But wait, there's more! Samsung is bringing the first headset designed for Android XR, and the device is codenamed Moohan, which means infinity in Korean. It is "equipped with state-of-the-art displays, passthrough capabilities and natural multi-modal input", and Samsung says it will be "your spatial canvas" to explore the...

Supply chain leak suggests that the iPhone 17 Pro will look weird

A while back we heard that the iPhone 17 Pro will have a rectangular camera bump, instead of the current square bump that has been used for many generations. That report also claimed that Apple is dumping titanium and is going back to aluminum for the frames. More recently, a report suggested that Apple will stick with titanium for the Pros, so the weird camera bump rumor is false... right? Perhaps not and it may be worse than we imagined. A post on Weibo shows this image and claims that it is a bare frame from the iPhone supply chain. The cameras will be in the top area with the...

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 and Flip FE will share a chipset you might not like

Samsung has apparently confirmed to Korean media that its Exynos 2500 production yields are improving, following a few months of struggles. So, the company plans on equipping both the Galaxy Z Flip7 and the Galaxy Z Flip FE, which is also expected in 2025, with the Exynos 2500 SoC. That may of course prove rather controversial, seeing as how the Exynos chipsets' reputation hasn't been amazing over the past few years. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 It's interesting that the report says nothing about the Galaxy Z Fold7 - so maybe there's a chance it could be using a Qualcomm chip instead....

vivo to launch a new sub-brand next year

Chinese smartphone makers love to create sub-brands to cater to different areas of the market - think Redmi, Poco, iQOO, Realme. And vivo is apparently working on its next sub-brand following iQOO. The brand will be called Jovi, and if that sounds familiar it's because vivo has been using the name for its AI assistant and some other system apps. But now it looks like Jovi is all ready to grow up and become its own smartphone brand. The information comes from records found in the GSMA database (that's the GSM Association, no relation to us by the way). These show three upcoming vivo...

Poco X7 Neo runs Geekbench, seems familiar

The Poco X6 Neo arrived back in March, and now the brand is already preparing its successor, which we assume will be called Poco X7 Neo. A prototype of the X7 Neo has run Geekbench achieving a single-core score of 943 and a multi-core score of 2,247. It's powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 SoC, and the prototype which ran the benchmark had 6GB of RAM, but of course more options will probably be offered. Disappointingly, it's being tested with Android 14 on board, even though Android 15 has been out for about two months now and the phone's launch is probably still a good few weeks...

Apple Watch Ultra 3 to have satellite messaging abilities

The Apple Watch Ultra 3 will come with support for satellite messaging, a new report from Bloomberg's always-in-the-Apple-loop Mark Gurman states. This will let you send texts even without a cellular or Wi-Fi connection, using satellites only. The Ultra 3 could also bring blood pressure monitoring, but this has been delayed before, so apparently it's less of a safe bet at the moment. This feature was initially supposed to be released in 2023, for what it's worth. This wouldn't give you an exact reading, but instead will inform you when you may be in a state of hypertension. A non-invasive...

Vipps is the first third-party payments system for iOS

It is now available to users in its home market of Norway for online and NFC payments at terminals, with the ability to set the app as a default payment option on iPhones. The current development comes after the European Commission forced Apple to open up access to the NFC chips on its iPhones as the service was ruled anti-competitive. OnePlus Ace 5 shown in official images, this could be the OnePlus 13R globally

OnePlus is launching the Ace 5 series in China this month, and since the Ace 3 was available internationally as the OnePlus 12R we think it's safe to assume that the Ace 5 will be rebranded as OnePlus 13R, a phone that should be getting official in January. Next year's Redmi and OnePlus devices to have even bigger batteries

Over the past few weeks we've seen a lot of Chinese smartphone makers launching devices with 6,000 mAh batteries and larger, but according to a new rumor out of China, this is only the beginning. Next year, we can allegedly expect both Redmi phones and OnePlus handsets with 7,000 mAh batteries. This, combined with the ever-increasing mobile chipset efficiency means battery life in 2025 definitely shouldn't be a problem anymore, even for the most demanding of users. New Honor GT coming on December 16

Honor scheduled a phone launch for December 16, and we will see the new GT smartphone. Huawei Watch GT 5 review

Alongside the Watch GT 5 Pro, Huawei launched a more affordable alternative in the Watch GT 5. It lacks some advanced health sensors but still brings the new TruSense monitoring system. The Watch GT 5 is all about design and style. The case still has the geometric patterns that Huawei implemented in the Pro and the GT 4 predecessor. We received a 41 mm with a Blue strap, where the geometric shapes are somewhat more subtle. Our unit weighs just 35 grams, and the blue fluoroelastomer does not add much extra weight. The whole device feels light and unobtrusive, and it feels small on...

Weekly poll results: the Oppo Reno13 series faces an uphill battle to win over consumers

Oppo may want to reconsider its twice-a-year release strategy for the Reno series as things are getting overcrowded. Are the Reno13 models better than their Reno12 counterparts? In some ways yes, in others no. The end result is that most people who voted in last week’s poll are looking at other mid-rangers. When did the Renos become mid-rangers, anyway? The Reno11 Pro (in China) had a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the Reno12 Pro (China) had a Dimensity 9200+ and now the Reno13 Pro gets only a Dimensity 8350.
