Xiaomi 12 Ultra to come in leather, glass and ceramic variants

A new report from China emerged to reveal some of the design traits of the upcoming Xiaomi 12 Ultra. We already have a good idea of what the phone would look like, so the latest rumor is here to fill in the blanks when it comes to materials and colors. At least to some extent. While the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra from last year featured only one ceramic version, the company wants to give you a choice this time around. Supposedly, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will come in three variants - glass, ceramic and vegan leather. The first option will be available in multiple color options, the ceramic...

ZTE teases the Axon 40 series for an announcement this month

There have been several revealing leaks for the Axon 40 family, with the most recent one being from TENAA. And now, the company's president of the mobile division shared a teaser poster on Weibo suggesting that the Axon 40, and possibly a Pro variant, will be announced this month in China. The teaser poster doesn't reveal much, but past reports (including the TENAA leak) suggest that the Axon 40 Pro is just a re-badged nubia Z40 Pro so we kind of know what to expect. Then again, the Axon family has a history of implementing under-display selfie cameras, so we wonder if the Axon 40...

Android 13 may allow two carrier connections on one eSIM

According to Esper, Google is working on an Android 13 feature that would potentially be a game-changer for people using two SIM cards on a single phone. And maybe leave some extra room for smartphone manufacturers to utilize too. Through a feature called Multiple Enabled Profiles (MEP), the search giant wants to assign two carrier profiles to a single eSIM and easily switch between networks. Google is reportedly basing the new feature on a patent filed in 2020, which describes a splitting of the existing SIM interface into two digital connections. There have been reports in the past that...

Apple releases iOS 15.4.1 and iPadOS 15.4.1 to fix battery drain issues

Today Apple is releasing a new round of software updates for its mobile devices. This includes iOS 15.4.1 for all supported iPhones, as well as iPadOS 15.4.1 for all supported tablets. As the number incrementation strongly implies, this is a minor release that doesn't bring any new features. It does, however, purport to improve something that we'd wager is incredibly important for most people: battery life. That's because the release notes mention that upon installation of this update, your iPhone or iPad will fix the battery drain issues that were apparently introduced with the release of...

The M53 looks quite different from the Galaxy A53 5G, the design language matches the Galaxy M33 instead with a square quad camera bump in the corner and an LED flash below. The system has three groups of colors: core, functional and app colors. Before One UI 4.0, the interfaced used slightly different colors to mean the same thing. It is also the first to use Realme’s new UltraDart charging architecture, running at 150W (the middle of its planned range of 100-200W). Well, some units will use the 150W system, others will charge at 80W – not slow by any means (0-100% in 32 minutes), but not headline-grabbing either. The 80W model comes with a slightly larger battery, 5,000 mAh vs. 4,500 mAh for the 150W model. There is no official 0-100% time for the 150W model, but a 0-50% charge should be...
