Nokia 3.4 renders and specs leak

HMD Global’s participation in IFA 2020 is already quite certain, along with info that the company will be unveiling a slew of new budget to mid-range devices at the show. The Nokia 3.4, codenamed “Doctor Strange”, will likely be among these, alongside the Nokia 2.4, known as “Wolverine”. Having stopped by GeekBench already, the Nokia 3.4 is clearly out there, in industry-insider circles. That’s how today’s leak came into existence, with a tipster claiming to have the unit or, at least, actual pictures of it, which can not be released. Enter what is essentially a “fan made” render of the...

Realme is expected to drop its new X7 family of phones on September 1. Leaks and rumors have been flying all over the place, but as far as we currently know, there are a total of three handsets to expect. A vanilla Realme X7, allegedly sporting a big bold “DARE TO LEAP” text on the back, a Realme X7 Pro and potentially a third “Special Version”, expected to depute the Snapdragon 860 chipset. Asus might be working on four budget smartphones

After Asus CEO Jerry Shen resigned back at the end of 2018, the company started to slightly shift focus away from the budget smartphone segment, focusing squarely on flagships and the gaming ROG lineup. While cheaper models, like the ZenFone Live (L2), have been trickling-out onto the market, until as late as April last year, these don’t come anywhere near the popularity of the company’s last budget hit – The ZenFone Max Pro (M2). According to a new leak, things might change soon, as Asus is currently working on four devices, with chipsets codenamed “Lito”, “Lagoon”, “Bengal”, and “Scuba”....

Alleged pricing for Galaxy S20 FE 5G in Canada leaks

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE leaked in a 360-degree video last week. The Galaxy S20 FE isn’t exactly a rebranded S20, it’s meant to be a successor to the Galaxy S10 Lite. It was previously reported that the Galaxy S20 FE would arrive in six different color options and in both 4G and 5G variants. The latest report from DealNTech shows leaked pricing for the S20 FE 5G in Canadian Dollars. A database revealed a price of CAD 1,148.65 for the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. This converts to roughly USD 876 but we might see an even lower price, should this device make it to the US market. The listed...

AT&T Moto Razr 2020 diagram leaks

The 2020 Moto Razr is coming and the latest leak comes from none other than @evleaks. We’ve already seen the Moto Razr 2020 leak a few times and the latest leak doesn’t reveal any new information. A labeled diagram of the phone has surfaced, likely from the AT&T branded phone’s user manual. The power key is shown on the upper left side of the phone with the volume buttons on the upper right side. The fingerprint sensor remains roughly in the same place – though this time the Moto batwing logo will be the scanner. The first images of the 2020 Razr came in late July when we saw...

Cheaper Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Lite is headed to India

Samsung has long been rumored to expand its foldable smartphone line even more, with a more affordable device to complement the Z Fold2 in a similar form factor. We'll call this Galaxy Z Fold Lite for now, although that name is just an assumption on our part. This phone has so far been rumored to sport the model number SM-F415F, which makes sense because in Samsung's naming scheme, the first "F" stands for "foldable", while the low number implies this will be lower-end (and lower priced) than the original Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy Z Fold 2. This model number has now been spotted among...

Apple settles over Powerbeats 2 design defect, will pay $9.75 million

Apple just agreed to settle the dispute over a design flaw plaguing the Powerbeats 2 headphones outside of court. The company didn't admit that there was indeed an issue with the 2014 Powerbeats 2 but it said it's easier and cheaper to settle without having to go to court. As a result, Apple has agreed to pay out $9.75 million. Apple marketed the headphones as sweat and water-resistant and built to "endure". Customers claim that this isn't exactly the case and the buds would stop holding a charge after "minimal use". So if you bought a pair of Powerbeats 2 before August 7 and you...

However, Samsung doesn't say how these sales are distributed between the Note20 and the Note20 Ultra 5G. Huawei Mate 40 and 40 Pro cases show a round camera bump, vanilla model has a 3.5 mm jack

Basic transparent cases that allegedly belong to the Huawei Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro have surfaced, courtesy of leakster Digital Chat Station. They have a circular opening for the camera bump on the back, rather than square. There’s no extra hole for the LED flash, which suggests that it has been incorporated into the circle. Which makes sense as the circular hump is now larger than on the Mate 30 series. Now let’s have a closer look at the differences between the Pro and the vanilla model. Huawei Mate 40 Pro case: note the volume rocker and the extra grille The Huawei Mate 40...

Apple iPad Air manual leaks to reveal side-mounted Touch ID

A leaked user manual for the upcoming iPad Air reveals a couple of features and bits about the design. The manual itself is in Spanish and comes from the Eurasian Economic Commission as part of the registration process. Shots of the user manual Judging by some of the images from the user manual, we can say that the new iPad Air will feel and look a lot like the 11-inch iPad Pro from 2018 with super-thin bezels but instead of Face ID, the device will adopt Touch ID. The fingerprint reader is said to be integrated into the power button on the right side, making this the first...

Sony Xperia 5 II official announcement set for September 17

Sony scheduled a “new product announcement” for September 17 and the #SonyXperia hashtag leaves little doubt that there’s a new phone on the way. The company wouldn’t be making so much noise unless it was about to launch the Sony Xperia 5 II, right? We saw the first renders of the phone yesterday, showing a triple cam with ZEISS T* lenses as well as a classic top and bottom bezel design on the front. There isn’t much info on the hardware, however. It should be very close to the Xperia 1 II, save for some changes (e.g. the 3D ToF sensor seems to have gone missing). The screen size is...

Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro hands-on photos leak, show huge 108 MP cam

A cache of images and info on the Xiaomi Mi 10T has leaked from a couple of sources. They all paint a picture of a supercharged flagship that will be available globally (unlike the Mi 10 Ultra). There are at least two models, Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro, and there could be more. Hands on photos with the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro show a massive lens for the 108 MP sensor. The layout is similar to the vivo X50 Pro, so this might feature an advanced stabilization system of some sort. Alleged Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro hands-on photos A config file shows that the Mi 10T Pro (code name Apollo Pro)...

Indian Redmi 9 unveiled with two cameras, Helio G35

Xiaomi's increasingly confusing Redmi lineup got a new addition today as the company announced the Redmi 9 in India. It's not what global markets get as Redmi 9, since that one is known as Redmi 9 Prime in India. Instead, the newly unveiled Indian Redmi 9 is very similar to the Redmi 9C from earlier this summer, save for the downgraded main camera. The Redmi 9 for India has the same looks, including the squircle (square circle, as the Xiaomi rep, joyfully revealed) island with four holes. One is for the 13 MP main shooter, next to it is the 2 MP depth sensor, on the bottom row is the...
