Huawei just trademarked the P20 moniker

A new trademark was spotted in the wild today - one for the Huawei P20 moniker. The company's intentions to keep the "P" family going with at least one more model is far from a surprise. However, the P10 was unveiled only a few short months ago and this step does appear a bit suspicious in its early timing. The leak has prompted a wave of potentially credible (to various extents) sources on Weibo to speculate that the phone might make it in time for the holidays and land in Q4 this year. These describe the P20 as a rather small improvement on the Huawei P10 Plus, running on the...

Video shows a negligible difference in performance with 8GB OnePlus 5

We've already compared the OnePlus 5 to its doppelganger: the Apple iPhone 7 Plus, as well as Samsung's Galaxy S8. When it came to performance, the OnePlus 5 was beat by the iPhone 7 Plus, but it was a close race between the three flagships. Other phones aside, how does the OnePlus 5 compare to itself? More specifically: How much of an impact does the additional 2GB of RAM make in performance of these two tiers? Not too much, as we can see from the following video. YouTuber Timmers EM1 pitted both tiers of the OnePlus 5 head-to-head in a side-by-side speed test, running the same...

Moto G5S Plus detailed in new leak: 5.5-inch, aluminum body, dual rear cameras

At its event on July 25, Motorola may have another handset to showcase aside from the much leaked Z2 Force and X4 - the G5S Plus. This could be announced alongside a G5S, and a new report today details the upcoming Plus model. The G5 and G5 Plus were only introduced at MWC in February, so it's a bit odd for Motorola to be ready to out their successors so early. Then again, perhaps the company felt it was very important to have dual rear cameras on midrangers before 2017 is over. Chrome OS is getting a touch-friendly makeover

Google's Chrome OS has traditionally been installed on low-end laptops, but recently more and more devices running it sport touchscreens. Thus you'd expect the company developing the operating system to adapt its user interface to this new reality - and you'd be right about that, in fact. It turns out that Google has started testing a touch-friendly iteration of the Chrome OS launcher. You only get access to this if you run the Canary version of Chrome OS, which is the most unstable and prone to bugs and crashes. Even if you're on Canary, you need to enable the new UI through a flag, so...

A new update has started hitting the Sprint variants of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones. Weighing in at around 300MB, it brings the June Android security patch. The official changelog isn't yet available, so it's not known what other changes (if any) are included in the update. Given the fact that it's an over-the-air roll out, it may take time for the update notification to pop up on your handset's screen. Source | Via
