Here are all of Apple's official promo videos for the Vision Pro

Apple's first "spatial computer" became available earlier today, following a very successful pre-order campaign (for a niche expensive product like this one). The Vision Pro headset starts at $3,499 and is currently only for sale in the US. Apple has today outed its second video ad for the Vision Pro (the first one went out a few days ago), here it is: At the same time, Apple's created a bunch of videos meant to help you figure out how to use the headset. Let's start with attaching the power cable and turning on the Vision Pro. Next up, let's see how to set up the Zeiss...

Apple is working on a 7-8" foldable for 2026-2027

Apple's first foldable device could arrive in 2026 or 2027, according to a new report from "industry sources" over in Korea. Its internal screen size would be around 7-8", and thus it could replace the iPad mini in Apple's portfolio according to some rumors. However, its specifications and characteristics haven't been finalized yet. Furthermore, Apple is testing a new generation iPad mini with an OLED screen, which wouldn't make much sense if it is to be quickly discontinued to make way for the foldable. Speaking of which, Apple is reportedly preparing to introduce OLED screens to...

Realme 12+ shows up on TENAA, specs outed

Realme made the 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ official last month, but it seems like the 12 family is getting yet another member soon, at least in China. That's because the Realme 12+ has just been certified for sale in Realme's home country, by TENAA. As usual, this means we get a decent list of its specs. We don't, however, know which chipset will power it - for comparison, remember that the 12 Pro features the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 while the Pro+ went with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. Realme 12+ at TENAA So it might be another Qualcomm-made SoC, though it's unclear which. It will be paired...

Circle to Search will be exclusive to Google and Samsung devices for a long time

With its announcement of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, Samsung also unveiled a myriad of AI features, one of which is Circle to Search. This was created in partnership with Google, and it was in fact also introduced by Google for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro the day after Samsung's event (and it's since started rolling out). If you were expecting Circle to Search to continue its rollout to other Android devices from other brands, it turns out you're in for a disappointment. According to Samsung itself, Circle to Search will remain exclusive to Google and Samsung devices...

Google's Bard AI can now generate images

Today Google brought generative AI to Maps, but it also announced some new developments for Bard. The most important of those is that Bard can now use Gemini Pro, Google's latest multimodal AI model, in all the languages and territories where Bard is already available. Previously, Gemini Pro was brought into Bard only for English, giving it "more advanced understanding, reasoning, summarizing and coding abilities". Bard can also finally generate images. This is available in English "in most countries around the world" for free. The capability is powered by Google's newest Imagen 2...

Google brings generative AI to Maps

Google's generative AI push continues, this time with Google Maps. The app has now been sprinkled with AI, but there's a catch - these new features are, for now, only rolling out to "select Local Guides" in the US. If you are one of those lucky people, you can now use generative AI in Maps to help with discovering places, whatever your specific needs may be. You just say what you're looking for in normal language, and Google's large-language models will analyze Maps' places database to give you an answer. Google says the Local Guides' "insights and valuable feedback"...

Apple is the most admired company in the world for a 17th year in a row

Each year, Fortune makes a list of the most admirable companies in the world, and Apple gets the top spot for 17 years in a row. The complete list consists of 1,500 companies, 1,000 of which are US-based and 500 of them are non-US firms. All companies have at least $10 billion in revenue. Of all 1,500 companies, Fortune filtered out only the top earners and narrowed down the list to 680. About 3,700 executives, directors and analysts were then asked to rate each company on the list in various categories - investment value, quality of management, social responsibility, etc. Apple...

Apple Vision Pro battery specs revealed

The Apple Vision Pro reviews are in, and so we finally know its battery's specs. Back when pre-orders started, Apple only revealed that the battery was good for two hours of "general use", and 2.5 hours of video watching. It turns out those estimates were pretty accurate, perhaps even underpromising a tad. And yet, you may have been left wondering, all this time, what the actual capacity of the battery is. Now the mystery is solved: it's 3,166 mAh. That doesn't sound like much, considering its size and 353g weight, but there's a twist. Vision Pro Battery specs:3166 MAh35.9 WhOutput 13V...

Samsung is prepping both Galaxy M14 4G and Galaxy F14 4G for launch in India

Samsung launched the Galaxy F14 5G and the Galaxy M14 5G last March, and now, intriguingly, it's set to add 4G-only versions for both. The Galaxy M14 4G has a support page live at Samsung India, and both it and the Galaxy F14 4G's manuals have been found as well. It's important to note that these are most likely going to be the exact same device, sold under different names at different retailers. That is, in fact, the case with the Galaxy F14 5G and Galaxy M14 5G - the only difference being the former opting out of the latter's depth sensor on the rear. Samsung Galaxy M14 4G listed on...

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 to have a bigger battery than the Flip5

One of the issues people have constantly had with Samsung's Flip line of foldable smartphones is battery life, owing to the rather small cells fitted into all of them - the Galaxy Z Flip5 launched last summer has to make do with just 3,700 mAh, for example. Samsung seems to have been listening, and will increase the capacity for the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip6, expected to become official at the middle of this year. According to a new report, the next Flip will reach 4,000 mAh. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 That's still less than Oppo's Find N3 Flip which features a 4,300 mAh battery, but...

Apple made the Vision Pro headset official last June, following years and years of rumors about such a product. On January 19, the company finally started taking pre-orders, with initial shipments scheduled for February 2. In the meantime, however, the shipping estimates have slipped into weeks, given the headset's popularity - it's estimated that over 180,000 units have been pre-ordered. So clearly, people are intrigued by the Vision Pro. While it may not be a mass-market product yet, with its price and convoluted ordering procedure, it's definitely making a lot of people interested. Top 10 trending phones of week 4

Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ battery life test

We're done testing the battery life of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ - the highest standing member of the current Redmi Note lineup. It packs a 5,000mAh battery and manages to pull numbers nearly identical to its predecessor, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. With an Active Use Score of 10 hours and 38 minutes, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has good battery life but not great. The likes of the Poco X6 Pro, and Xiaomi 13T managed better numbers in all four tests with the same 5,000mAh battery packs. Browsing and video playback, in particular, were underwhelming. On a positive note, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+...

OnePlus 12 and 12R go on pre-order in the US, Amazon and Best Buy offer gift cards for Galaxy S24 phones

OnePlus launched the 12 and 12R for the international market this week (they were already available in China). This includes the US, where the market isn’t as competitive as Europe and Asia and is dominated by Apple and Samsung. But check this out – $800 buys you a proper flagship with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, plenty of memory (16/512GB thanks to a free upgrade) and a 6.82” QHD+ LTPO display. The cameras are quite good (50MP main, 64MP 3x tele and 48MP ultra wide, plus a lovely 32MP selfie camera), though daytime video recording could have been better. Our only other complaint is that the phone...

Weekly poll: will you buy an Honor Magic V2 now that it has arrived in Europe?

It has been half a year since the Honor Magic V2 was released in China, but at long last the phone has arrived in Europe with an event on Friday. Honor tried to get to the European launch faster than it did with the Magic Vs, however, it actually ended up being slower (the Vs was unveiled in China in November 2022 and got to Europe in February 2023). Better late than never, we guess. The Honor Magic V2 is well liked by our team. You only need to look at the dimensions to understand why – it measures 156.7 x 74.1 x 9.9mm and 231g when closed. For comparison, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is 162.3 x...
