Nokia Coloud Headsets Photo Gallery

Back in July, Nokia had announced a trio of affordable headsets in collaboration with Coloud - namely Boom, Knock and Pop. These headsets are meant to be affordable while providing good design, sound and build quality. The first one is Pop (WH-510) which is an in-ear earphone. The second is Knock (WH-520) which is an on-ear headphone. It's quite similar to the Boom in terms of design but is smaller and lighter. The Boom is the largest and the most expensive of the three but also comes with a smart construction that blocks outside noise. All three of them come with a microphone and a multifunction button that can be used to answer calls and control music functions. All three headsets are available in three different colour choices - Red, Cyan and Yellow. Photo Courtesy - Michael Hell [gallery ids="83452,83453,83454,83455,83456,83457,83458,83459,83460"]

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Camera Samples

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a leather-like texture on the back which is interesting, but what sits on top of it is even more interesting. Continuing the tradition of using the same camera units as the Galaxy S series for the Notes, Samsung has included the similar 13 megapixel camera for the Note 3, the exact same one that you find on the Galaxy S4. The 13 Megapixel sensor is Sony-made and is the 1/3.06" Stacked EXMOR RS CMOS sensor that you find on various other devices like the very recent Oppo N1 and the Lenovo K900, but what differentiates Samsung devices from them is the Fujitsu-developed ISPs that are custom made for Samsung. With a bundle of great algorithms + ISP hardware and a highly sensitive camera sensor, the Note 3 strives to be as good as the Galaxy S4, or may be even better? Take a look at the camera samples below and find out for yourself! We have taken camera samples in various conditions, natural and controlled, check them out. Note: Click to open in full resolution. Apple iPhone 5c vs iPhone 5, a side by side comparison of what’s new

The Apple iPhone 5c(Check out the 360) in all its bluish glory landed in our labs for a quick unboxing and a photo gallery that we did earlier. While we covered a quick look at how it compares with the older and the very similar 5 in our unboxing video, lot of people were still asking for a deeper look at the comparison between them and here we are, with another video, detailing the same, now with all the details you need to know - httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUQj-yaTkJo The major difference between the iPhone 5 and the 5c is apparent, it's the build. The 5 is made of gorgeous matte aluminium while the 5c is made of hard polycarbonate plastic. Immediately you'll notice the candy-like gloss on the iPhone 5c, which is a stark contrast from the icy cold metallic exterior on the iPhone 5. The phones are very slightly different in dimensions too! iPhone 5 - 123.8mm tall, 7.6mm thick and 58.6mm wide iPhone 5c - 124.4mm tall, 8.97mm thick, 59.2mm wide There is a 0.6mm difference in height and width between the two with the 5c ending up being bulkier due to the different build. The 5c is also thicker at almost 9mm, when compared to the ...

Leaked LG G Pro Lite Dual may bring dual-SIM to Optimus G Pro

The LG Optimus G Pro may be getting a dual-SIM version called LG G Pro Lite Dual (now that's quite a mouthful). The rumor suggests the new device will keep the 5.5" True HD IPS+ display of 1080p resolution, but will demote the camera to 8MP resolution (still with BSI sensor). It's not entirely clear why this model bears the "Lite" moniker, as the camera downgrade probably isn't enough to...

Beats buys back $265 million of shares and bids good bye to HTC

HTC has been struggling in the smartphone market despite some encouraging HTC One sales. HTC held a 25 percent stake in the popular audio company Beats and that is one of the reasons most of the HTC handsets came with Beats audio. HTC had purchased 50.1 percent of Beats' shares in 2011 for $300 million. Last year, the music company Beats got back half of that for $150 million and now they have totally got rid of HTC by buying their entire shares back for $265 million. There is no information regarding why the two companies split up. We are inclined to believe that the folks at Beats weren't happy with HTC's performance and hence pulled out of the partnership. HTC has said in a statement that it still considers Beats as one of the important partners, but we will have to wait to know what they actually mean. As far as statistics go, HTC's shares in the US market has been on the slide while Beats has been on a roll and accounts for nearly 59 percent of the premium headsets in the US market. HTC and Beats have been partners for a while now and most of the HTC devices(high-end) ...

BlackBerry reports loss of $965 million in fiscal Q2

It's no secret that BlackBerry isn't doing too well, but no one knew just how bad until the company's just-released fiscal Q2 report. It highlights a whopping $935 million loss on the BlackBerry Z10. The "Z10 inventory charge," a clever way to say that the device simply isn't selling, is enough to almost wipe out the listed $1.6 billion revenue. When combined with the corporate...

Hover me digits! Nokia bringing touchless zooming and panning to Lumias

Nokia already introduced a hovering gesture in Lumias running the Amber update, where a simple pointing with your finger close to the display wakes it up from the Glance Screen mode, but now it is taking the feature to the next level. It patented two more ways for touchless interaction with its Windows Phone devices, and we wouldn't be surprised to see those hitting Lumias soon...

HTC's 25% stake in Beats Electronics was sold back to the company for $265 million; the Taiwan based manufacturer had originally owned 50.1% of the company, a purchase made at the top of the market in 2011. The Moto X is built in Fort Worth in Texas and ships to the US - and so far only to the US. There's talk, however, of a cheaper version, which the rumor mill has dubbed Moto DVX.
