LG V50 ThinQ 5G is now receiving its Android 12 update

LG's mobile division might be dead, but it's still got some zombie thing going - it promised to update some of its last devices to Android 12 this year, and it's very slowly delivering on that promise. Following the Velvet and the V60 ThinQ, today the LG V50 ThinQ 5G has started receiving the update to Android 12. This update was supposed to happen by the end of June, but it apparently got slightly delayed. Sure, Android 13 might be just around the corner at this point, but it's still commendable to see a company that quit the mobile game not forget its customers from days past. The V50...

Vivo Y77 launches in China with Dimensity 930

The Vivo Y77 is official. And if that sounds familiar, that's because it's the second time it's happened this week, but that first Y77 5G launched in Malaysia was a different phone in terms of both design and specifications. Apparently Vivo felt that name is so cool that it was going to reuse it even if it causes a confusing mess. The Chinese Vivo Y77 doesn't officially have 5G in its name, even though it supports the latest networks. It's running on a better MediaTek Dimensity 930 chipset compared to the Dimensity 810 on its international counterpart. It's paired with either 6GB, 8GB, or...

Flashback: a decade of Sony Xperia displays

Sony phones don’t sell in huge volumes, but they have made a name for themselves. Huawei Matebook 16s in for review

The Huawei Matebook 16s was launched in China back in May, and earlier this week it went global. The company was kind enough to send us a sample for review purposes, and it is finally with us. This is the current flagship laptop of Huawei, using the latest 12th gen Intel processors. There are three options - Core i5-12500H, Core i7-12700H and Core i9-12900H and our unit uses the middle one.
