In an apparent effort to create maximum hype around its upcoming One A9 smartphone, struggling Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC is pitching the device as a good alternative to Apple's iPhones. In a recent letter to employees, CEO Cher Wang said that the smartphone will "strike a balance between beauty, performance and simplicity," making it good enough to replace the Cupertino-based company's phones.
