Sony hasn't had that much luck when it comes to waterproofing for the past year or so. Ever since the company's "Z" flagship lineup and its ad campaigns got caught up in a major scandal last year, culminating in changes to the waterproof policy, the Japanese giant has been a bit hesitant to market waterproofing on its phones. Looking at Sony's current "X" lineup, only the Sony Xperia X Performance officially has IP68 certification, meaning it can last up to 30 minutes under 1.5 meters of water and is dust proof as well.
