MetroPCS has added a new cheap Android smartphone to its roster today. It's the alcatel Tru, which appears to be a rebadged version of the alcatel Pop 3 (5) that was first released in late 2015. This isn't anywhere near the ZTE Zmax Pro (that MetroPCS also outed recently) in terms of specs. Then again, it's much cheaper too. After a mail-in rebate, the alcatel Tru is yours for just $29. And obviously since this is a prepaid carrier we're talking about, you don't have to sign any long-term service agreements to net the device at that low price. So what do you get for that measly...
