Qualcomm held its 5G Summit conference in Barcelona recently where the chipmaker confirmed it will be partnering with Oppo to deliver a dual-mode 5G phone. Oppo's Henry Tang elaborated that his company is ready to take the next leap in 5G deployment and will introduce the Qualcomm powered dual-mode 5G phone on the market before the end of 2019. Dual-mode 5G means the phone supports both SA (Standalone mode) and NSA (non-standalone) network modes.
