A month ago we spotted the Moto X Play from 2015 being benchmarked with Android 7.1.1 Nougat on board, which made us hopeful that the device would receive the update in the near future. It turns out that's exactly what will happen. The Moto X Play is set to be graced with the tasty treat by the end of this month, at least in Europe. The official word on the matter comes straight from Motorola's arm in Germany, responding to a question about the update on Twitter. This applies to the SIM-free EU model of the Moto X Play, so the rollout of Nougat may take a while longer in other places....
