Samsung Galaxy S26 official renders leak

Following up on the earlier leak showing the Galaxy S26 Ultra from all angles through a 360-degree video, Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) is now back with some very official-looking high-res renders depicting what seems to be the vanilla Galaxy S26. Of course there's a chance it's the S26+ in these images, but based on how much the camera island occupies of the total length, it's a tad more likely it's the S26. Samsung Galaxy S26 leaked renders There is, of course, nothing new here, but we are seeing the white color and all of the previously leaked features of the design are...

Apple is reportedly scrapping its AI-powered Health+ service

A report last year claimed that Apple is working on a new AI-powered Health+ service that can give suggestions based on the gathered health data and even suggest form correction during exercise via the iPhone camera. However, the latest rumor is that the company is scaling back those efforts. A few months after Apple moved its Health and Fitness teams under the Services group, led by Eddy Cue, the company is giving up on its rumored Health+ service because Cue thinks Apple isn't competitive enough. According to internal sources, Eddy Cue wanted Apple to move faster and be more...

The entry-level iPad is now rumored to get Apple Intelligence support this year

Apple's latest entry-level iPad dates from March last year, and it comes with the A16 Bionic chip paired with 6GB of RAM. A new rumor from a usually reliable source in Japan today claims that a new entry-level iPad will be made official sometime this spring. This device will look identical to its predecessor, but will be powered by the A18 chip (first seen in the iPhone 16) and will get 8GB of RAM. That means it will support Apple Intelligence, since that RAM amount appears to be the minimum required. It seems like the SoC upgrade and the extra RAM might be the only changes made to...

Why Camera Hardware Is Back at the Centre of Smartphone Photography

In recent years, smartphone photography has become increasingly dominated by software. Computational imaging, AI processing, and post-capture optimisation now play a central role in how images are produced. Yet as these techniques become more widespread, camera hardware is once again emerging as a key differentiator. The REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G Series reflects this shift clearly, placing renewed emphasis on sensor capability and optical fundamentals rather than relying solely on software to define image quality. At the heart of this approach is the 200MasterPixel camera system, which is...

Ayaneo reveals the chipset powering its Pocket Play smartphone

Ayaneo started teasing the Pocket Play, its first smartphone, back in November, and then in December it showed us what it would look like, Sony Ericsson Xperia Play vibes and all. Today, Ayaneo has finally revealed the chipset sitting at the helm of the Pocket Play. It's MediaTek's Dimensity 9300. That's an odd choice, given that the SoC in question came out in 2023. Sure, it was MediaTek's top dog of 2023, but it's more than two years old. And if, we assume for pricing purposes, Ayaneo wanted to go with MediaTek instead of Qualcomm (since MediaTek's top of the line SoCs are always...

Apple iPhone 17 vs. iPhone 16

Apple's iPhone 17 may look like business as usual at first glance, but this year's update is a bigger jump than we've come to expect from the vanilla line. In fact, the jump from the iPhone 16 to the iPhone 17 feels like one of the more meaningful generational steps we've seen in recent years. Of course, the iPhone 16 remains a solid performer. But compared side by side, the iPhone 17 clearly feels like the more modern and complete package - not just a small refinement, but a proper evolution for Apple's mainstream iPhone. However, as a few of our test findings will suggest, newer is...
