Realme Neo8 purportedly runs Geekbench, confirms its chipset and RAM amount

Realme already announced that it's unveiling the Neo8 this month, showcased its rear design, and revealed that the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. Now the Neo8 may have been spotted in the Geekbench online database with the model number RMX8899. As you can see below, it managed a single-core score of 2,876 and a multi-core score of 9,245 in Geekbench 6.5, though as usual we'd caution you against taking benchmark results from unreleased devices too seriously. The benchmark listing has confirmed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, and revealed that one version will come...

Xiaomi is working on a phone with a built-in fan, here's what it could be

Built-in active cooling fans are all the rage in China currently, with a lot of manufacturers coming out with devices featuring one. And now it seems like Xiaomi is working on its very own device with a fan, according to Digital Chat Station on Weibo. This device will be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 SoC, and will have a screen with a "1.5K" resolution and "ultra-high" (though not further detailed) refresh rate. The fan will be part of the camera island, and the entire phone will be IP68 rated for dust and water resistance despite the presence of the fan. Redmi K80...

AnTuTu 11 is now out on iOS and iPadOS

It certainly took a while, but the latest version of AnTuTu is now finally available on iOS. You can grab it from the App Store. As you may already know, AnTuTu is probably the most popular benchmarking app in China, so much so that Chinese smartphone makers routinely use AnTuTu scores as teasers ahead of new product launches, and some have even compared scores against the competition during launch events. So, suffice to say, it's pretty big over there. AnTuTu 11 on iOS It's a benchmark that covers everything, unlike others that can focus only on the CPU or GPU or AI...

Leaked test results from Galaxy S26 Ultra's new 60W charging fail to impress

Internal testing has shown that Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra’s new 60W charging can fill the battery from 0% to 75% in 30 minutes, reveals Ice Universe. This was tested under laboratory conditions, whatever those were (presumably controlled room temperature). That doesn’t sound particularly impressive for a 15W increase over the Galaxy S25 Ultra. As a reminder, in our review of the S25 Ultra, we saw a 72% charge after 30 minutes. And yes, the S26 Ultra is supposed to have a bigger battery, though rumors suggest it will only go up to 5,200mAh (+200mAh compared to the 2025 model). A word of...

Google makes some Gemini 3 AI tricks free in Gmail

Google has made some of its Gemini 3-based AI tools free in Gmail. AI Overviews and tools like Smart Replies and Help Me Write were only available for users with an AI subscription (Google AI Plus or Ultra), but no longer. AI Inbox filters out the clutter in your inbox and gives you a briefing with quick highlights. It also sums up those long Reply to All emails, which is very handy. Help Me Write is just what it sounds like - you can give Gemini a prompt of what you want to write, and it will do the rest. You can also refine specific parts of the generated messages. Suggested...

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold hands-on

The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is very exclusive and will likely remain like that - it's on sale in South Korea, China, Taiwan, Singapore, and the UAE, and is expected to arrive Stateside soon. But we managed to spend some time with one at this year's CES and we have some early thoughts to share. Compared to modern phones, especially recent ones, it's quite the brick when folded. There's no getting around that - having two folding sides and one middle one means the Galaxy Z TriFold will be a fat gadget when fully closed. However, it's not unmanageably thick, and people who'll buy...

Samsung patent shows flip phone with a 360-degree hinge

A new Samsung patent gives us our first look at a flip-style foldable, which folds both inward and outward. The patent was spotted on the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) database and is accompanied by sketches for the flip-style device with a 360-degree hinge. Unlike mainstream flip-style folds, the device in the patent listing does not have a dedicated cover screen. The sketches show that the folding screen can fold outward, wrapping around the back of the device, but it can also fold inward. This approach would require a complex hinge mechanism that would support...

TCL NxtPaper 70 Pro hands-on

Just yesterday, TCL announced its latest NxtPaper smartphone – the NxtPaper 70 Pro at CES 2026. We’ve now managed to get our hands on a unit, and these are our first impressions. The headline feature on the NxtPaper 70 Pro is its massive 6.9-inch NxtPaper 4.0 display. Like all entries in the NxtPaper lineup, this is an IPS LCD panel with a matte coating that reduces glare and reflections. This makes everything from reading to watching videos much easier on the eyes. It’s kind of like an e-ink display, though you still get full 100% sRGB color gamut coverage, an adequate FHD+...
