Samsung Gulf now says no Lollipop for Galaxy Note 8.0

Just a week after it said that the Galaxy Note II won't be getting Lollipop, Samsung Gulf has now revealed that the Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet will also not receive the update. The subsidiary made the revelation in a reply to a query on its Facebook page (see image below). However, Samsung's decision to not update the Note 8.0 could be region-specific, given that the South Korean company's Spain and Denmark subsidiaries have already confirmed the Android 5.0 update for the Note II. But to be sure, we'll have to wait for other Samsung subsidiaries to reveal their update plans for the Note 8.0. Meanwhile, Sprint's Samsung Galaxy S4 models have started receiving the Lollipop...

The Top 10 trending phones of week 19

There has been quite a lot of movement in the top 10 chart yet again. Trends may be shifting, but it seems that the Galaxy S6 has absolutely no intention of giving up the lead. It is definitely still the top dog with a formidable lead ahead of the competition. The Top 10 trending phones chart is a recap list of the devices that gathered the most hits throughout the week. In other words, the chart represents the interests of the majority of you, our visitors, and is an indication of what currently interests you. This week, second place goes to the Micromax Canvas Spark Q380. It has been climbing steadily in popularity and has managed to leap from fourth place all the way to runner-up in just a week. An impressive feat indeed. The third place has another slightly unlikely resident. It is the year-old Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime. It has been a constant presence in the list, but has somehow managed to leap ahead three spots, form sixth place, all the way to third and come even ahead of the LG G4, which in now down one place to fourth position. This mixing at the top, naturally caused some devices, like the Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML to fall down the list. Still, Samsung is left with a strong presence in the top ten. The Galaxy S6, A5 and S6 edge have occupied sixth, seventh and eight positions respectively. The iPhone 6 is one again on the list, after some absence, at ninth place. And at the very bottom we find Xiaomi's impressive new midranger - the Mi 4i, which has fallen all the way from fifth place. .news-item .n-left { float: left; width: 26%; text-align: center; } .news-item .n-right { float: left; width: 74%; } .news-item a { padding-bottom: 0; padding-left: 0; } .news-item .n-right h2, .reviews-item .n-right h2 { clear: both; padding: 0 0 3px 0px; font: 400 19px Oswald, Arial; margin-top: -4px; } .n-right p { margin-top: 25px; line-height: 155%; } .news-item { padding-top: 20px; padding-bottom: 10px; border-top: 1px solid #ccc; } .news-item p { margin-left: 0; } .n-right h2 .phone-name { display: inline-block; width: 252px; overflow: hidden; vertical-align: text-bottom; } .n-right h2 a { text-decoration: none; color: #000; } .flat-button{ text-align:center; text-decoration: none !important; font: 400 22px Oswald,Arial !important; //font-family: sans-serif; -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; font-size: 150%; //background: #0CADA7; padding: 20px 60px !important; display: inline-block; white-space: nowrap; -webkit-border-radius: 5px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; border-radius: 5px; margin: 10px 0; -webkit-transition: all 0.2s ease-in-out; -ms-transition: all 0.2s ease-in-out; -moz-transition: all 0.2s ease-in-out; -o-transition: all 0.2s ease-in-out; transition: all 0.2s ease-in-out; color: #fff !important; } .flat-button-1 { background: #0CADA7; } .flat-button-1:hover { background: #0A948F; color: #666666 !important; } .flat-button-2 { background: #FF7E47; } .flat-button-2:hover { background: #EE7440; color: #666666 !important; } .n-right .rank-info { display: inline-block; font-family: "Oswald",Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 18px; font-weight: 100; } .n-right .rank-info .current-rank { font-size: 23px; } .circle { background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #8fb28f; border-radius: 50%; height: 23px; width: 23px; display: inline-block; margin: 0px 10px -1px 10px; } .arrow { width: 0; height: 0; border-style: solid; display: inline-block; margin: 0px 10px -1px 10px; } .arrow-up { border-width: 0 15px 25px 15px; border-color: transparent transparent #0cada7 transparent; } .arrow-down { border-width: 25px 15px 0 15px; border-color: #ff7e47 transparent transparent transparent; } Samsung Galaxy S6 RANK: 1WAS: 1 specs review Micromax Canvas Spark Q380 RANK: 2WAS: 4 specs gallery Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime RANK: 3WAS: 6 specs review LG G4 RANK: 4WAS: 3 specs review Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML RANK: 5WAS: 2 specs review Samsung...
