Sony Xperia Z5 tipped to launch in September

Just over a week after the Sony Xperia Z3+ - which is the international version of the Xperia Z4 available in Japan - started rolling out globally, rumours are doing rounds that the company's next flagship, the Xperia Z5, will be unveiled in Japan in September this year. Specs-wise, the device is said to be powered by the yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 820 SoC. It is expected to come with 4GB RAM, pack in a 4,500mAh battery, and feature a fingerprint recognition system. In terms of camera, the handset is rumoured to sport a 21MP Sony Exmor RS IMX230 CMOS sensor, with 4K video recording support and HDR capabilities. The Top 10 trending phones of week 27

Another week has passed and it's now time to direct our attention to the top ten chart. It sums up your interest in the devices in our database. Last week's surprising debutant, the Lenovo K3 Note, not only managed to hang in, but left everybody else in the dust and is officially number one in our weekly popularity contest. It's not every day that a Lenovo phone manages to swoop in and take the crown - in fact this is the first time since the introduction of the series. Looking down, this week we find the Galaxy S6 finally overtake the Galaxy Grand Prime, after it was sitting behind it for three weeks. In fourth we find the Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML yet again, while last's weeks forth - the Xiaomi Mi 4 - has dropped out of the top 10. Moving on, the iPhone 6 is steady like a rock at number 5. It is followed by the Samsung Galaxy A5 and S5 at sixth and seventh place, respectively, and none of the three has moved since last week. Android 5.0.2 seeding for the Samsung Galaxy A5 in Russia

The Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update for the Samsung Galaxy A5 (SM-A500FU) debuted in Poland more than a month ago and now Russia is next. This time the firmware covers the SM-A500F model. The update is available over the air and via KIES, and weighs in at 920MB, which is not bad for an entirely new OS version. The firmware build carries an internal designation A500FXXU1BOF5 and is dated June 17. Being a major update, the new release brings along the host of Lollipop goodies like Material design, new lockscreen and notification area, as well as improved battery life and performance.
