A fully loaded Microsoft Surface Book comes with a massive $3,199 price tag

In case you were wondering how much will a fully loaded Microsoft Surface Book will set you back, we have an answer for you. The Redmond giant quietly added a variant of its ultimate laptop with 1TB of flash memory for pre-order for a rather substantial $3,199. Considering that a sales tax must also be added in the United States, the final price that a user will have to pay for the gorgeous notebook will easily enter the $3,500 range. For comparison, Apple is also asking $3,199 for a fully loaded version of its latest Macbook Pro with 15" Retina display. In addition to sporting a generous 1TB SSD, the Surface Book to rule them all also comes with the latest generation Intel Core i7 CPU, 16GB of RAM, and bespoke GPU by NVIDIA. Despite its massive price tag, the Surface Book appears to enjoy brisk demand. Even the fully loaded variant of the notebook is not expected to begin shipping in 7-8 weeks. Source |...

Meizu MX5 battery life test

Meizu MX5 turned out one very interesting device with an excellent 5.5" AMOLED screen, powerful Helio X10 chip and a great 20MP camera. There is also a beefy 3,150 mAh battery to further sweeten the deal. The MediaTek's solutions are rarely considered energy-efficient chipsets, so we were eager to test the MX5 battery endurance and see how it stacks against its predecessors and other Helio X10 devices such as the Redmi Note 2. The MX5 did well on our 3G talk time test, but far from impressive. The endurance of 13 hours is about 3 hours behind the MX4's score and far from a flagship one. The big Android 6.0 Marshmallow update list

People increasingly care about software updates - in part because they want to get the new features, but security is becoming an increasingly important topic. The Nexus devices (well, the ones from 2013 and later anyway) and Android One are a given. Here's the scorecard for devices that are not directly backed by Google but have been confirmed to get the latest version of its mobile platform. Keep in mind that this list includes only devices that have been officially confirmed to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Some other devices are likely to get it too, some most likely won't, but those aren't on the list. h3.background { background: #598D94; color: white !important; } h3.background + ul li { list-style: none; } h3.background + ul li h3 { padding-left: 0 !important; border-bottom: 1px solid lightblue; margin-bottom: 10px; padding-bottom: 0 !important; } Samsung 2015 Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ Samsung Galaxy Note5 Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Samsung Galaxy S6 2014 Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Samsung Galaxy S5 Samsung Galaxy Alpha Samsung Galaxy A8 Samsung Galaxy A7 Sony 2015 Sony Xperia Z5 Premium Sony Xperia Z5 Sony Xperia Z5 Compact Sony Xperia Z3+ / Z4 Sony Xperia C5 Ultra Sony Xperia C4 Sony Xperia M5 Sony Xperia M4 Aqua 2014 Sony Xperia Z3 / Z3v Sony Xperia Z3 Compact Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact Sony Xperia Z2 Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet 2013 Sony Xperia Z Ultra GPE LG 2015 LG G4 LG G Flex2 2014 LG G3 HTC 2015 HTC One M9 Plus HTC One E9 Plus HTC One M9 HTC One E9 2014 HTC One (M8) HTC One (E8) Motorola 2015 Motorola Moto X Pure Edition (3rd gen) Motorola Moto X Style (3rd gen) Motorola Moto X Play Motorola Moto G (3rd gen) 2014 Motorola Moto X Pure edition (2nd gen) Motorola DROID Turbo Motorola Moto MAXX Motorola Moto Turbo Xiaomi 2015 Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Xiaomi Redmi 2 Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime Xiaomi Mi 4i 2014 Xiaomi Mi 4 Xiaomi Mi Note Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Huawei 2015 Huawei Ascend P8 Huawei Ascend P8max Huawei Honor 6 Plus Huawei Honor 7i Huawei Honor 7 Huawei Mate S Huawei MediaPad X2 2014 Huawei Mate 7 Huawei Honor 6 Huawei Mate 7 Huawei Honor 4X Huawei Honor 4C Huawei Ascend G7 Asus 2015 Zenfone 2 series Zenfone 2 Laser Zenfone 2 Deluxe Zenfone Selfie Zenfone Go OnePlus 2015 OnePlus 2 2014 OnePlus One ZUK 2015 ZUK...

Top 10 trending phones of week 42

This week Samsung's Galaxy J series locked out the podium. The J7, J5 and J2 - in that order - make up the Top 3 smartphones by interest over the last 7 days. That's not a huge surprise, the Galaxy J7 was first last week too and the Galaxy J5 was second. The Galaxy J2 had the top spot a couple of weeks ago, but last week it dropped sharply to 9th only to recover quickly. The J2 went on sale on Flipkart and Amazon India on October 9, which may be behind its sudden jolt of popularity. The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime is on the rise again, going from 9th to 5th and now 4th over the last couple of weeks. Some North American carriers have some good deals on it, but it's an old model so we're not sure how it got so popular. Then there's the Galaxy Note 5, which has been fluctuating lately. There was a promo on eBay for unlocked units a few days ago, but it's mostly holding tight until Samsung's phablet finally launches in Europe. The Motorola Moto G (3rd gen) is rising up the ranks, perhaps boosted by the confirmation that it will get Android 6.0 Marshmallow (its Moto E sibling will not). After the initial explosion, Apple iPhone 6s interest has been waning, but it is doing much better than its large sibling, which isn't even in the Top 20. The Sony Xperia Z5 was Top 3 last week, shortly after it became available to consumers. Now it's barely holding on and is currently 9th. Guess those James Bond themed promos don't have much staying power. .news-item .n-left { float: left; width: 25%; text-align: center; } .news-item .n-right { float: left; width: 75%; } .news-item a { padding-bottom: 0; padding-left: 0; } #review-body .news-item .n-right h2, .reviews-item .n-right h2 { clear: both; padding: 0 0 3px 0px; font: 400 19px Google-Oswald, Arial; margin-top: -4px; } .n-right p { margin-top: 25px; line-height: 155%; } .news-item { padding-top: 10px; padding-bottom: 0px; border-top: 1px solid #ccc; } .news-item p { margin-left: 0; } .n-right h2 .phone-name { display: inline-block; width: 325px; overflow: hidden; vertical-align: text-bottom; } .n-right h2 a { text-decoration: none; color: #000; } .flat-button{ text-align:center; text-decoration: none !important; font: 400 22px Google-Oswald,Arial !important; -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; font-size: 150%; padding: 20px 60px !important; display: inline-block; white-space: nowrap; -webkit-border-radius: 5px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; border-radius: 5px; margin: 10px 0; -webkit-transition: all 0.2s ease-in-out; -ms-transition: all 0.2s ease-in-out; -moz-transition: all 0.2s ease-in-out; -o-transition: all 0.2s ease-in-out; transition: all 0.2s ease-in-out; color: #fff !important; } .flat-button-1 { background: #0CADA7; } .flat-button-1:hover { background: #0A948F; color: #666666 !important; } .flat-button-2 { background: #FF7E47; } .flat-button-2:hover { background: #EE7440; color: #666666 !important; } .n-right .rank-info { display: inline-block; font-family: "Google-Oswald",Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 18px; font-weight: 100; } .n-right .rank-info .current-rank { font-size: 23px; } .circle { background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #8fb28f; border-radius: 50%; height: 23px; width: 23px; display: inline-block; margin: 0px 10px -1px 10px; } .arrow { width: 0; height: 0; border-style: solid; display: inline-block; margin: 0px 10px -1px 10px; } .arrow-up { border-width: 0 15px 25px 15px; border-color: transparent transparent #0cada7 transparent; } .arrow-down { border-width: 25px 15px 0 15px; border-color: #ff7e47 transparent transparent transparent; } Samsung Galaxy J7 RANK: 1WAS: 1 specs review Samsung Galaxy J5 RANK: 2WAS: 2 specs review Samsung Galaxy J2 RANK: 3WAS: 9 specs gallery Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime RANK: 4WAS: 5 specs review Samsung Galaxy Note5 RANK: 5WAS: 4 specs review Motorola Moto G (3rd gen) RANK: 6WAS: 8 specs...
