MediaTek announces Helio G80 gaming-focused mid-range chipset

MediaTek launched its flagship gaming SoC, the Helio G90, in mid-2019 and we can say it was a success judging by the Redmi Note 8 Pro's popularity. Well now, MediaTek has an even more affordable solution for gamers - the Helio G80. It comes to slide between the G90 and the G70 that was unveiled last month. The SoC is built on the 12nm node and offers an octa-core CPU with 2x Cortex-A75 cores ticking at 2.0GHz while the other 6x Cortex-A55 cores run at 1.8GHz. Analyst predicts 10% drop in Apple iPhone shipments due to Coronavirus outbreak

Apple had a strong Q4 with the iPhone 11 dominating global sales, but the company's Q1 prospects have taken a hit due to the Coronavirus outbreak, says analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Galaxy S20 series to support simultaneous shooting with all cameras

Samsung's big Unpacked event is just a week away and given the myriad of leaks we know most of the key specs of the upcoming Galaxy S20 family.
