HTC T1 back revealed, shows plastic body and Nexus logo

HTC's upcoming Nexus tablet for Google has leaked again in pictures. This time courtesy @upleaks, the latest image shows the back of the tablet. Contrary to some of the rumors, the T1 does not have a metal body but instead the same matte black plastic back with a circular raised camera lens in the top left corner, which looks very similar to the design of the Nexus 7 and the Nexus 5. Even the big Nexus logo is similarly placed sideways in the middle. We already knew the tablet would have a 4:3 aspect ratio display, and this image once again shows the squarish shape of the device. The launch of this device is supposed to be this month itself so hopefully we will find out more soon. Source 1 • Source...

Latest HTC Desire Eye photos reveal it in full

Latest batch of photos show the recently leaked HTC Desire Eye in all of its glory. The phone is tipped to pack a 13MP front-facing camera coupled with a dual-LED flash. The rear camera is also supposed to be a 13MP shooter complete with a yet another dual-LED flash. Twitter user upleaks has revealed another piece of interesting information: initially it appears that the HTC Desire Eye doesn't feature front-facing speakers, but according to the tipster they're still on board. The speakers are located right above and below the display. The smartphone is tipped to pack a 5.2" 1080p display and run on the powerful Snapdragon 801 chipset with a quad-core Krait 400 processor at 2.3GHz and 2GB of RAM. The rest of the tipped specs include 32GB internal storage, a 2,400 mAh battery and IPX7 certification for water resistance. We suspect the Desire Eye is going to be revealed at the company's October 8 event in New York. Alongside it should be the HTC RECamera. Source • Source (2) |...

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime breaks cover, promises LTE

Another Prime will soon follow in the footsteps of the selfie-centric Galaxy Grand Prime, the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime. While it's camera department is less impressive it seems like the new Core will compensate with LTE connectivity. Several versions of the Galaxy Core Prime have passed through TENAA (SM-G3606, G3608 and G3609), all of then being dual-SIMs and having TD-LTE connctivity. Two have international LTE, and mainly differ in 2G/3G (whether its GSM or CDMA). Indian retailer Flipkart has put up the phone on pre-order prematurely and offers better images and more detailed specs. There's no LTE in this version and only one SIM slot. Keep in mind these specs are not officially confirmed by Samsung and may change. Samsung Galaxy Core Prime (images from Flipkart) The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime is relatively thin (8.8mm), packs a 4.5" PLS LCD screen with WVGA resolution and runs Android 4.4 KitKat on a quad-core 1.3GHz processor with 1GB of RAM. The main camera shoots 5MP stills and 1080p video and there's a 2MP front-facing camera. There's also 8GB of expandable storage and a 2,000mAh battery. The price of the Indian variation of the Core Prime is INR 8,500, which works out to $140 or €110. There's no info on when it will be unveiled officially but it can't be long now. Overall, the Galaxy Core Prime is quite similar to the Galaxy Core LTE and Galaxy Core Lite LTE. Source 1 • Source 2 (in...

Samsung Galaxy Alpha A5 and Alpha A3 spotted in the wild

The lower and mid-range entries in the new Galaxy Alpha family have made a live (though unofficial) appearance in Mexico. The new Alphas will prioritize build over features, which is why they are based on aluminum unibodies. Here's the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, flanked by its upcoming siblings, the Galaxy Alpha A5 on the left and the Galaxy Alpha A3 on the right. Samsung Galaxy Alpha A5 (left), Galaxy Alpha (center) and Galaxy Alpha A3 (right) Here's a closeup of the Galaxy Alpha A5, which has a nanoSIM card slot and a second slot, the microSD slot. This model is rumored to cost $400-450 and will have a 5" 720p Super AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 400 (410?) and a 13MP/1080p camera. Samsung Galaxy Alpha A5 close-up The Samsung Galaxy Alpha A3 will be priced a bit lower - $350-400 - and will have a 4.52" qHD Super AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 410 chipset, a 8MP/1080p camera and a 5MP selfie camera.
