A new version of the Vive virtual reality headset is in the works at HTC, according to the usually reliable leakster @LlabTooFeR, who revealed this information in a tweet. Android's global smartphone market share now stands at around 88%

According to latest numbers released by market research firm Strategy Analytics, Android's global smartphone market share in Q3 2016 stood at around 88%, up from the 84.1% figure reported in the same period last year.. Apple's iOS, meanwhile, lost some of its market share - it's now 12.1%, down from the 13.6% share it claimed in Q3 last year. Talking about smartphone shipments, Android phones saw an Y-o-Y growth of 10.3%, while iOS saw a decline of 5.2%. New Samsung Galaxy Note Edge update brings security patches, other changes

Samsung Gear S2 users facing email notification-related issues after latest Gear Manager update

Shortly after Samsung pushed out a new update to its Galaxy Manager app, several users of the company's Gear S2 smartwatch are complaining that the update has broken email notifications on their Tizen-powered wearable device. Specifically, for incoming emails, Gear S2 now says that it "can't show the email for security reasons," asking users to try and "view it on [their] phone" instead. vivo Y67 gets certified by TENAA with 4GB of RAM, 16 MP selfie camera

While at this point Chinese smartphone maker vivo is clearly working on the X9, which will apparently be unveiled before the end of this month, it's also developing another, lower-end device. This has been revealed today by TENAA, the authority in charge of certifying handsets for sale in China. The new vivo phone is currently known just by its model number, Y67. It can be seen in the pictures below. It has a 5.5-inch 720p touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash, and perhaps surprisingly a 16 MP front-facing camera. That's the same resolution as the selfie unit inside the vivo X7...
