HTC revenue in October decreases 25.8% YoY

HTC published its monthly financial report for October, when revenue stood at NT$6.06 billion ($200 million). That is is 6.8% down from September when it was NT$6.51 bn ($215 million). Year-over-year the decrease is the staggering 25.8%. The total sales since the beginning of 2017 come in at NT$52.44 billion, 18.2% lower than the January-October period in 2016. Xiaomi sells over 150K Redmi Y1 phones in 3 minutes

Samsung Galaxy S9 mass production could start in December

The Samsung Galaxy S9 could debut as early as January with sales starting in February. The usually reliable leakster @IceUniverse posted on Weibo that Samsung will start mass production in December to meet this earlier deadline (the S8 was unveiled in March, launched in April). Once production starts, Samsung will gobble up the entire first batch of Snapdragon 845 chips for the US-bound phones and supply its own Exynos 9810 chips for most of the rest of the world. Spy shots of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s show an iPhone X-style cutout
