Today Google is announcing the latest update to Gmail for Android. The app gains two new features, both of which should help your Inbox be less cluttered by useless communications. First up, there's "Block Sender". In any message, hit the options menu and choose this if you don't want to see any more emails from that particular address. After you pick this option, all future emails from that address will go straight into your Spam folder, thus never bothering you again. This is available today in Gmail on the Web and will roll out to the Android app "in the next week". Unsubscribe is already out on the Web, but Google is saying it will make its way to Android as well. Just like its name implies, this feature lets you easily opt out of certain mailing lists directly from the app. You just tap on the options menu and choose Unsubscribe when you're viewing such a newsletter.
