The long wait is finally over, which also means the end of the endless sea of rumors. We finally have the full story. The Samsung Gear S7 is every bit as impressive as expected. It comes with a 5.1-inch, 2560 X 1440 pixel Super AMOLED display, with a keenly sharp 577 ppi. Its body measures exactly 142.4 x 69.6 x 7.9mm and weighs in at 152g. The body itself is even curvier than before with a Note5-like slope on the back and a 2.5D effect on all four sides on the front. The Galaxy S7 edge, as expected, adds another dimension to the mix with its impressive 5.5-inch display, curved on both sides and now a bit bigger than its predecessor. The edged variant is surprising even thinner with a body measuring 150.9 x 72.6 x 7.7mm and just a tad heavier - 157g. Samsung Galaxy S7 As for the guts of the handsets, as expected, both will come powered by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC or Samsung's own powerhouse - the Exynos 8890. Memory is still set at 4GB, which is perfectly adequate and fast with LPDDR4 technology. Storage options include 32GB of 64GB, plus an extra microSD card for up to 200GB extra. The camera setup consists of 12MP sensor, but don't let that number fool you. The hardware is totally innovative thanks to a f/1.7 aperture and a new Dual Pixel technology, which allows for some clever ambiguity of its large sensor pixels and makes for amazing low-light performance and blazing fast autofocus speed. Of course, smart OIS is also on board. Last, but not least, the new Motion Panorama feature makes for amazing wide-angle shots. Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Both the S7 and S7 edge have fairly sizable batteries, but the latter definitely shines in this department, with 3,000 mAh and 3,600 mAh, respectively. The pack can also be recharged blazing fast with wired and Wireless Fast Charging (WPC and PMA standards). Other hardware features include Dual-band Wi-Fi ac, MIMO, Bluetooth v.4.2, ANT+ and support for both NFC and MST and payment systems that rely on them. Interestingly enough, Samsung has stuck with USB 2.0 and the familiar connector. A truly amazing new feature of both models is the IP68 rating, which means that the S7 duo is properly waterproof. On the software side of things, TouchWiz is now running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with all the features that come with it. Edge fans now have a lot more to get excited about thanks to an improved Edge Apps platform - the physical area is a lot wider offering more info at a glance. Gamers can also rejoice thanks to a newly adopted support for Vulkan, which promises to usher in the next era of mobile graphics. Source 1 | Source...
