Samsung Galaxy S26 FE in for review

The Galaxy FE models have always enjoyed the attention of loyal and savvy Galaxy fans, but Samsung may be cutting it a bit too close with the Galaxy S26 FE. We called it the "Galaxy S26 AI and the Galaxy S25 FE Part 2 in our announcement news, and we still stand by that. To start with, the Galaxy S26 FE is nearly identical, spec-for-spec, with its predecessor. The major aspects of the phone are the same: the same 6.7-inch screen, triple camera system, battery and charging, and overall feel in the hand. Well, okay, the S26 FE has a camera island, whereas the older phone's camera system...

Apple hikes prices again, this time for Apple TV and Apple One

Apple hiked the prices of all of its hardware products back in June. As we're all anxiously waiting for the company to make its iPhones more expensive too, in the meantime, it has made two of its services more expensive. We're talking about Apple TV (previously known as Apple TV+) and the Apple One all-encompassing subscription, which already got more expensive last month for its family and premier plans. Today, the individual plan is getting pricier too. Apple TV is now $14.99 per month in the US, up from $12.99. The annual plan goes from $99.99 to $119.99. At the same time, the...

Motorola teases a new Swarovski-encrusted Razr, here's when it's launching

Motorola launched blinged-up Swarovski-encrusted versions of the Razr 60 and Edge 70 last year, then followed up with the Signature a few months ago, and now it's almost ready to unveil another one. The company is currently teasing a new Swarovski edition, which it will make official during IFA in Berlin in early September. The quick teaser video posted by Motorola on X shows the back of a Razr, so we're probably talking about the Razr 70, since the Razr 60 was the one to get its Swarovski edition last year. Sparkling brilliance ✨Coming soon. #IFA2026 pic.twitter.com/DDtG9YgKUv—...

Google Pixel 11 in for review

Last year was a big step for the Pixel 10, which gained a zoom camera (but downgraded the main camera), but this year, Google is keeping things simpler (and less innovative). The Google Pixel 11 is a straightforward yearly specs update. It keeps the body mostly unchanged; the screen is the same 6.3-incher, the battery is more or less the same, and so is the charging. What is new is the chipset - the 3nm Tensor G6, and the main camera, which packs a larger 1/1.56-inch main sensor (vs 1/2.0-inch on the Pixel 10), bringing it closer to the Pixel 9's 1/1.31-inch main unit. Not confusing at...

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE uses the Exynos 2500 chipset everywhere

Samsung just announced the Galaxy S26 FE, and its main upgrade compared to the Galaxy S25 FE is the newer chipset. The S26 FE comes with the Exynos 2500, which is better in every way than the Exynos 2400 that the S25 FE employed. [#InlinePriceWidget,14870,1#] The Exynos 2500 is also the only SoC that Samsung is using for the Galaxy S26 FE, there's no Exynos/Snapdragon split based on market here, or anything like that. You get an S26 FE, you get it with the Exynos 2500, no matter where you are. That's the deal. And it's a pretty good upgrade, all things considered. According to...

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra bend tests yield two very different results

Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra as the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold7 last month, alongside the new, wider Galaxy Z Fold8. That model didn't really impress in a teardown, and now it's time for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra to get one of its own. [#InlinePriceWidget,14802,1#] It all starts with the displays. The cover screen has Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 on top, which scratches at level 6 on the Mohs scale, with deeper grooves appearing at level 7, just like you'd expect. The inner, folding screen, however (or is that the non-removable screen protector?), will scratch at level 2 and...

The Galaxy S26 FE is more expensive than the S25 FE: here are the prices

Samsung just unveiled the Galaxy S26 FE and disappointingly but not unexpectedly, it comes with a price hike. The new model is starting to pop up on Samsung.com and it will be available through carriers and retailers too – but you can’t have one just yet, the official start of sales is on September 4 (Friday next week). The base phone remains at 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage – it’s the only S26 model to offer this configuration. The vanilla S phone already moved up to 12GB of RAM a generation earlier and, as of this generation, it has 256GB of storage as standard too (not counting the...

Google Keep's 'Find in note' search feature rolling out for Android users

Google Pixel 11 Pro XL in for review

Today, we got the new Pixel 11 lineup on our doorstep, so it's time to start unboxing them one by one. The new phones made somewhat of a negative initial impression for keeping things mostly unchanged, but there are some novelties. Let's dive in! From left to right - Google Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and the Pixel 11 Pro XL The Google Pixel 11 Pro XL is the biggest in the trio, and it feels it. It's tall and wide, and hefty at 226 grams. It feels nearly identical to its predecessor, and it is, dimension-wise, at least. Its battery is a tad smaller at 5,115mAh (vs 5,200mAh on the 10...

Samsung Galaxy S27 CAD-based renders leak

Yesterday some new CAD-based renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra leaked online, and today it's the vanilla Galaxy S27's turn to get the exact same treatment. Immediately you can see a stark difference between the S27 and the S27 Ultra. The top of the line device has a new camera island design, while the entry-level model won't. In fact, the Galaxy S27 looks remarkably similar to the Galaxy S26, with its oval-shaped camera bump that's in the top left corner of the rear. The S27 allegedly measures 149.75 x 71.88 x 7.25 mm, which makes it very very slightly larger than its...

Take a look at the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra in some fresh high-quality CAD renders

Yesterday a rough CAD render of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra leaked, and now we have a set of much more polished and higher-resolution renders of the device to look at. As is obvious from the very first look, Samsung is redesigning the camera island, opting for an Apple-like (or rather, Poco-like for those who remember) big rectangle up top, with the camera sensors housed in its left side. According to the source of these renders, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will measure 163.76 x 78.25 x 7.97 mm, which makes it imperceptibly larger than its predecessor on all three axes....

Samsung’s latest One UI 9 makes switching phones easier – the updated Smart Switch app now has a simpler set-up process and it can copy more data too. The app on the Android side will generate a QR code that you scan with the iPhone’s camera app, then you need to confirm a few options and you’re ready to go. Gemini can now troubleshoot your Pixel 11 device

Google is now testing a "Device help" tool for the Pixel 11 series that is powered by Gemini. It will let you have a conversation with Gemini about things you need to troubleshoot about your phone. You can find "Device help" in the "plus" menu in Gemini. It's at the bottom of the list just above Personal Intelligence. The caveat, for now, is that this seems to be a limited test and not a mass rollout. Then again, even Google's mass rollouts take ages to reach everyone, so maybe it's the start of that. For what it's worth, it's appearing in the latest beta (17.52) of the Google...

iPhone 18 series prices confirmed to go up due to rising memory chip cost

After introducing a notable price hike to its Mac and iPad lineup back in June due to an unbearable memory chip price increase, the word on the street is that this year's iPhones will follow suit. In fact, a report from earlier this month says all iPhones from the 18 series will cost $100 more than their predecessors. The most recent report on the matter, however, comes from a more reputable source, and it confirms the earlier claims from other tipsters. The increasing RAM and NAND chip prices are pressuring Apple to act and pass some of the cost onto consumers. People familiar with...

Exynos 2700 beats the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro in internal testing, insiders say

Internal tests of the Exynos 2700 have Samsung LSI buzzing – the chipset outperformed Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 (both of them, actually), according to anonymous insiders. The testing was pretty thorough and included CPU, GPU, NPU and power efficiency benchmarks. First, let’s clear this up – Qualcomm has officially confirmed that there will be two Elite chips in the next generation. They are tentatively being called the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. This is separate from the non-Elite Gen 6 chip, by the way. Oh, and Qualcomm also confirmed a price hike for its...

New Galaxy S27 Ultra CAD render shows a different rear camera design

Recent leaks suggest the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra will feature a redesigned rear camera setup with one fewer sensor than the Galaxy S26 Ultra. However, a newly leaked CAD render shows a completely different camera design from those seen in previous leaks. Well-known tipster Ice Universe shared an alleged CAD render of the Galaxy S27 Ultra on X. The render shows an iPhone 17 Pro-like rear camera plateau, with two sensors in separate cutouts and a third camera alongside the flash in a pill-shaped cutout. According to the tipster, the pill-shaped cutout could house a 5x telephoto...

After months of teasers and red carpet events, the Honor Robot Phone is finally official and it is now available in stores – only in China, but you didn’t want one anyway, right? Wait, did you? The robot-like arm that acts as the gimbal on this device (and gives it its name) feels like the end-stage of popup-camera evolution. Weekly poll results: a clear favorite emerges from the Google Pixel 11 family

Last week, we asked you which Pixel 11 model you would buy and now the results are in. The sentiment is trending towards negative with price being a common reason for skipping the 11 series. Looking at the overall poll, many just aren’t interested in any Pixel 11 model. But those that do want one are mostly leaning towards the Pixel 11 Pro – it almost got more votes than the vanilla and the Pro XL models put together. Almost.
