Oppo CEO shows off a camera sample from the N3

As the Oppo N3 unveil nears the teasers are coming in - the latest of which is a camera sample leaked by Oppo CEO himself over on Chinese social site Weibo. The camera sample has been cleaned of an EXIF data and has a lowly resolution of just 1200x1600px hiding the anticipated 16MP. Oppo N3 camera sample Oppo is expected to drop two devices on October 29, one of which is the Oppo N3, the successor to the Oppo N1, which should have a 5.5" 1080p display, camera with precision optics and be priced at CNY4,298 ($700 or €550). European launch of Galaxy S5 Active tipped by a retailer

Samsung Galaxy S5 Active might launch in Europe in November. The Dutch online retailer Centralpoint revealed the impending arrival of the rugged smartphone . November 16 is the exact availability date listed by the merchant. Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is listed as available to order for €577 with included VAT - less than the previously rumored €629. Buyers who leave a review of the device will receive a €100 voucher from Centralpoint. Amazon UK Nexus 9 stock delayed, Google Play still on track

Amazon UK seems to be having troubles getting the HTC Nexus 9 in stock. The retailer has pushed the shipping of the tablet to December 15. Originally, the Nexus 9 was planned to launch on November 3 and details regarding the setback haven't been revealed. Naturally, the slate is also offered on the Google Play Store. There, it is listed to start shipping on November 3, so the setback seems to be affecting only Amazon UK for now. There's no information if other retailers in the country are going to delay the Nexus 9 or if the problem is affecting other countries. The HTC Nexus 9 Wi-Fi starts at £319 for the 16GB version, and £399 for the one with 32GB of storage. The Nexus 9 comes with an 8.9-inch 2,048x1,536 touchscreen, an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 1.6 MP front snapper, and it's powered by an Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset, with a 2.3 GHz dual-core CPU. Some major retailers are not keen on supporting Apple Pay

Despite the major hype that Apple Pay is generating, the payment system might still have difficult time to establish itself as a major player. A number of high-profile retailers including the likes of BestBuy, Walmart, and Rite Aid will not support the Cupertino giant's latest creation. Some merchants are even disabling or modifying the NFC readers in their stores in order to shut out Apple Pay. The reason behind the move is called CurrentC - a payment system backed by retail heavyweights, which aims to cut off debit or credit card processing fees by taking money directly from a user's bank account. CurrentC is set to launch next year alongside a dedicated app for Android and iOS. In addition to making payments, the app will also serve as a platform for retailers to offer promotions to consumers. The list of CurrentC backers is rather extensive. It includes Walmart (the largest retailer in the world), Sears, Kmart, Bed, Bad & Beyond, and just about every major US gas station chain among others. Live images of the retail package of the upcoming Motorola Droid Turbo made the rounds on Twitter. The high-end smartphone for Verizon Wireless is set to debut this coming Tuesday, on October 28. The elegant retail box of the Android powerhouse contains only the basics. Users will get a charger, a pre-loaded SIM from Verizon Wireless, as well as the usual array of booklets. Motorola Droid Turbo has appeared on a number of occasions already. Rumored specs of the device include 5.2-inch QHD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, 21 MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, and huge 3,900 mAh battery.
