Weekly poll results: the OnePlus 7T Pro is off to a rocky start

The OnePlus 7T Pro went on sale in India on October 12, in China on the 15th and in Europe on the 18th (and it's not coming to the US). We'll wait to see the initial sales numbers, but if last week's poll is any indication, the new Pro is not off to a good start. Only 1 in 5 people say they want one. Compare that to the OnePlus 7 Pro, which launched earlier this year, and polled much better with 2 in 5 people expressing interest. Of course, back then some were curious about what the 7T Pro will be like, so the old Pro could have scored even better. The bad signs were visible even back...

Our Samsung Galaxy A60 video review is up

The Galaxy A60 that Samsung announced back in April has a complicated history, being practically identical to the Galaxy M40 and so far getting a limited market release. Still, it's part of the Korean company's ever-expanding and increasingly successful A-series so we were eager to see what it's all about. Hence, our in-depth review of it was born, but then we figured the A60 also deserves a video review of its own. Huawei MediaPad M7 renders show a metal tablet with slimmer bezels and optional stylus and keyboard

OK, to be fair, straight off the bat, the leaked MediaPad is clearly not an iPad clone. In fact, even though most people's first associating when seeing it might be one of Cupertino's current tablets, the look and feel of Samsung's Galaxy Tab S6 really isn't all that different. So, the correct way to describe what is allegedly going to be the MediaPad M7 and is design would definitely be trendy and contemporary. That, of course, means slim bezels and what looks to be a metal body. As per the original source of the leak, the device is internally know under the codename "Marx". But given...

Twitter's Android app gets OLED-friendly dark mode in new alpha build

Twitter rolled out an OLED-friendly dark mode called "Lights out" back in March, but it was only limited to iOS users. More than six months later, it's rolling out to Android users as well, albeit on the alpha version of the app. The lights out mode is different than the current dark mode and turns the UI of the app to pitch black instead of dark blue. This does a better job at power consumption on devices that sport an OLED display. Twitter for Android with 'Lights out' enabled If you are an alpha user, you will find the option to enable the lights out dark mode under the...

Curious 16-inch MacBook Pro images appear in latest macOS beta

A couple on interesting pictures have been unearthed by a French blog, buried inside the resource files of the first two macOS Catalina beta builds (10.15.1). These appear to show renders of a MacBook Pro in both Silver and Space Gray colors that seems very familiar, yet slightly different upon closer inspection. 16-inch MacBook Pro images Going by the relatively smaller bezel size around the display, as well as the "macbookpro-16-silver" and "macbook-pro-gray" file names, it is almost certain that we are looking at a new iteration in Apple's high-end laptop family.
