Xiaomi always offered great bang for the buck so it was exciting to see hints of the Redmi Note 5, which combines two current flagship trends - 18:9 bezel-less screen and dual cameras. Better yet, rumors hinted at a Snapdragon 660 chipset - a "lite" version of the flagship 835 SoC. A Geekbench 4 result potentially sours the inflow of rumors - it lists a Qualcomm MSM8952 chipset, aka Snapdragon 617. Well, eight Cortex-A53 cores at a low clock speed are no match for eight Kryo cores. Not to mention the aging GPU... There's hope, however, it seems that Geekbench messed up the chipset model...

BlackBerry Motion arrives for £399 in the UK, €469 rest of Europe

HTC U11 Plus makes an appearance on Geekbench with Android 8.0

A mysterious HTC device has just popped up on Geekbench's website with a Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB of RAM and running Android 8.0.0 Oreo. Our best guess is that this is the HTC U11 Plus, which entered the rumor mill a few days ago when a press invite for an HTC event on November 2 was leaked. The score recorded by the unnamed HTC smartphone falls within expectations for a Snapdragon 835 device and is around the same as that of the U11. Serious iOS 11 bug allows unauthorized access to your photos

A new vulnerability has been found on iOS 11 and it appears to affect all iDevices running the latest version of the software.
