Nokia's long awaited Lumia 1020 is finally being coming in India. The brand has started sending out invites for the launch event to be held on 26th September. Successor to the Nokia PureView 808 (atleast in the camera department), the phone runs on Windows Phone 8. The device is powered by a 1.6Ghz Dual Core Snapdragon processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Unlike the 808, the phone does not have a dedicated Broadcom ISP for image processing and is dependent on the Qualcomm chip for crunching all that data. Here's our video unboxing for the handset. httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzasTCeKUoM The USP of the device is the 41MP camera module that allows for 3x lossless zoom capabilities as well. The biggest advantage however is oversampling that helps remove noise from low light images. Unlike the 808, there is also optical image stabilization built in which aids the camera in getting absolutely smooth video footage. In built storage is 32GB and this can't be expanded. Nokia will have a range of accessories including a wireless charging backplate and a very cool camera grip case available for users.
