This will be a major update from the current KitKat and hence we recommend to backup your data, perform a factory reset and then download the Lollipop update over a Wi-Fi connection. LG had released the Lollipop update for the G3 in India but the performance of the update is not that exemplary. Quite possible that the Android 5.0's memory leak bug is causing that and is expected to be fixed with the Android 5.1 Lollipop...
