Gionee has been diversifying its range in several directions for the past few months and after the super-slim Elife S7 launched a couple of months ago, the feature-packed Elife E8 is next in line. Meanwhile the company is apparently also working on a successor to the Marathon M3, dubbed simply M5. Both the Marathon M3 and the M2 before it were battery monsters, packing 5,000mAh and 4,200mAh cells respectively, but the M5 is going to take the battery to a whole different level. A new official teaser now hints at a dual battery to be found inside the upcoming M5. The smartphone will reportedly be able to work with only one of the batteries, while the other is being charged, suggesting a modular body design. Very conveniently, the M5 is pictured head on, instead of from the side, so it's impossible to get a sense of the device's thickness, or the actual implementation of the dual-battery feature With both batteries on, Gionee promises a four-day battery life out of the M5, which is marketing talk that roughly translates into comfortable two-day heavy use. That should hopefully put an end to the anxiety whether your phone will make it through the day. Source |...
