We showed you a lone picture of the upcoming selfie-centered Sony Lavender yesterday, but there was no update on the previously rumored hardware. Well, we're going to address that today with new intel on the matter. The smartphone is quite similar to the yet unreleased Xperia C4, but a few specs have been taken up a notch or two. For starters, display size is allegedly going to be larger than the 5.5 inches of the Xperia C4, and although it's not specified exactly, the 6-inch Xperia T2 Ultra may give you a hint. It's going to be a FullHD panel, the source reiterates. As we suspected looking at the photo, the Lavender will have extremely thin side bezels, too. The other key feature is the front camera, which gets a significant upgrade to 13MP over the Xperia C4's 5MP unit. With a front LED flash on board, the smartphone is targeted squarely at the selfie-loving crowd. On the back there's another 13MP shooter, and both units employ Sony's own and quite popular IMX214 sensor. Computing power is said to come from a Mediatek MT6752 chipset with an octa-core 1.7GHz Cortex-A53 processor, joined by a dual-core Mali-T760 GPU and 2GB of RAM, all of which can be found in the Xperia C4 as well. The phone will boot Lollipop out of the box, and a dual SIM model will be available too. Obviously, it's way too early to talk price and availability, but we'll keep you...
