If you're on Twitter, you may have noticed a new UI change on the company's website and mobile apps. The longstanding star button for favoriting tweets has now been replaced with a heart button. Twitter is going with the familiar terminology Likes/Liking to go with the new button. There is also a neat little animation that takes place when you click on the button. Twitter's ideology is that the previous star button could be confusing to newcomers, whereas with the heart button there is no confusion as to what the functionality is.
