
Spotify reported its performance for the second quarter of this year. The streaming service added more subscribers than expected, however total revenue and operating income fell below expectations. After adding 5 million premium subscribers in Q1, it added 8 million more this quarter (exceeding forecasts by 3 million). Compared to Q2 last year, the number of premium subscribers increased by 12%, however, ad-supported subscribers are 1% down.
