It appears that Nexus 6 might not be the only available out-of-the-box option for Lollipop-hungry buyers as a Chinese smartphone manufacturer Elephone is also producing a device running vanilla Android 5. Despite its catchy name, Elephone is rather unknown and the handset in question is named P6000. According to their website, the interesting device will be available on December 27 for a price tag of approximately $170. As the price itself suggests, the handset is not a flagship offer and fits more into the mid-ranged category. It is built around a MT6732 SoC, clocked at 1.5GHz and a Mali Y760 GPU. It features a 5-inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB onboard memory. Also on board there is a 13MP camera and LTE and the whole thing is powered by a 2,700 mAh battery. Even if the device does not offer premium hardware it is a peculiar offering so be sure to check it out for a budget taste of Android 5.0. Source |...
