BlackBerry launched the first promo video for its Priv smartphone with Android OS. The Canadian manufacturer began taking pre-registrations for the smartphone yesterday. The short clip showcases the upcoming smartphone and its sliding hardware QWERTY keyboard. The latter is certain to be one of the handset's defining features. In a separate post in its official blog, BlackBerry also boasts about the bevy of hardware and software privacy and security features that will set the Priv apart from its competitors. The manufacturer points at a recent study, which reveals that roughly 9 out of 10 Android smartphones have a critical security vulnerability. The specs of BlackBerry Priv include Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC, 5.4" QHD display, 18MP camera with Schneider-Kreuznach optics. The battery is a 3,410 mAh unit. Source 1 | Source...
