Android N notification system gets an early preview

Android Police managed to get an early look at the notification system in the upcoming Android N release. Although they weren't able to post any of the screenshots, they did manage to create mockups based on what they saw. The first thing to note is the individual notifications have lost their card appearance, and have all merged into one slide. The app icon is now smaller, with the app name next to it. Above the notifications is a row of quick toggles so thankfully, you won't have to swipe down twice to access these functions. Also, the whole thing is now full-width, and there is a new button to clear the notifications. Pulling down twice reveals a slightly more familiar screen but looking closer reveals a new 'Edit' button to presumably rearrange the icons. The grid also seems paginated, so you can have more than nine icons now without the grid becoming too long. This is pretty much all that Android Police has for now.
