Xiaomi is set to launch the Redmi Note 2 Prime on the Indian market. Amazon is teasing the launch with a dedicated poster, but a specific date is yet to be revealed. There's also no word on pricing just yet. The news of the market launch comes 3 months after the 4.7-inch Redmi 2 Prime was made available in the country, and about a fortnight after Xiaomi unveiled the successor, Redmi Note 3. The Redmi Note 2 Prime was announced alongside a non-Prime version some three months ago, the difference between the two being CPU clock rate and storage size. Both smartphones feature the Mediatek Helio X10 chipset, but the octa-core processor in the Prime can go as high as 2.2GHz, while the Redmi Note 2 is limited to 2.0GHz. Built-in storage is 32GB and 16GB, respectively. Other than that, the smartphone packs a 5.5-inch FullHD display, 2GB of RAM and 13MP/5MP camera combo. All of this is powered by a 3,060mAh battery.
