Google has released some interesting statistics related to its Vulnerability Reward Program for the year 2015. The company revealed that it paid more than $2 million to security researchers as part of the program last year. The program was launched way back in 2010, and Google has paid a total of over $6 million to researchers till now. Last year, Android joined the program in June, and by the end of 2015, researchers were paid over $200,000 for finding vulnerabilities in the mobile OS. This included the largest single payment of $37,500 to an Android security researcher.
