Xiaomi has announced that it has become the second largest smartphone vendor in India in the last quarter of the calendar year of 2016. This is largely due to the sales of the Redmi 3S variants, which collectively sold over 3 million in under six months since its launch last year. This is according to the IDC report, which further states that Xiaomi climbed up to second place with 10.7% share in CY Q4 2016 versus 3.3% during same quarter last year.
