LG L70 spotted running Lollipop, it's a false alarm

LG was admirably quick with the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its LG G3 flagship and it wasn't much of a surprise when a Lollipop-running LG G2 showed up. But this is unexpected - the LG L70 D320, an entry-level phone with a lowly dual-core Cortex-A7 processor and just 4GB of storage showed up running Lollipop. The phone originally launched with Android 4.4.2 KitKat and served in LG's lower ranks. HTML5 Test, however, clocked it running Android 5.0.2 (build LRX22G) and Chrome 37. Here's the thing though - the LG Optimus G and the Optimus 4X are also in the database and the 4X never made it past 4.1 Jelly Bean. With its Tegra 3 chipset it will never officially see KitKat, not to mention Lollipop. A bit more digging reveals that the build number - LRX22G - actually belongs to the Nexus 7 (Wi-Fi), so this is almost certainly a custom ROM. The user agent does not say which one, but CyanogenMod sounds like a good bet. There's an official CM12 nightly for the Optimus G, while the others are probably running unofficial ports. You can find all LGs running 5.0.2 that passed the test here (the link loads very slowly). Thanks to Srdjan for sending this...
