Oppo Mirror 3 64-bit mid-ranger announced, costs $280

Oppo has been pretty hard at work recently and after we told you about the sapphire-crystal R1C, here's more info on the Mirror 3, the company's brand new entry into the lower midrange. The new smartphone packs a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 SoC, with a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, paired with a modest 1GB of RAM. Built-in storage is rather low at 8GB, but is easily expandable via microSD. The display is a 4.7-inch 720p IPS unit with a 312ppi pixel density. The Mirror 3 will run the proprietary ColorOS in its 2.0.1 iteration on top of Android 4.4. Oppo Mirror 3 The main camera on the back employs an 8MP Sony IMX179 sensor behind a fast f2.0 lens. The sensor itself is a 1/3.2" piece of silicon, resulting in a 1.4 micron pixel size. No contemporary smartphone can can go without a selfie snapper, and this one offers a 5MP unit. Battery capacity is okay at 2000mAh, and Oppo claims that the supplied 2Amp charger is capable of topping that up in 90 minutes. We're not particular fans of glossy plastic backs like the one on the Mirror 3, but we'll reserve judgement until we get to hold one in our hands. The bezels too, appear rather generous, which is probably to be expected at its price point. The Mirror 3 is announced in white, but official photos in grey and black are also in existence. The price at launch is 5,990,000 Vietnamese Dong or $280. Source (in Vietnamese) |...
