Yesterday, we saw a post on Weibo from China Mobile indicating that the HTC One Max will not have a Snapdragon 800 processor as was previously rumored, but instead would have a slower chip running at 1.7GHz, which could mean either a Snapdragon S4 Pro, or perhaps a Snapdragon 600. It turns out that may be due to supply issues with the Snapdragon 800, or it could be cost concerns. No one is quite sure...
